"The surviving keep at Orford Castle is an exposed and brooding building. Set on a steep mound and originally built in the 12th century to defend the busy port of Orford. Now it overlooks the winding creeks and salt marshes of the River Alde, Orford Ness and Havergate Island. In this print the stonework catches the light whilst the dramatic darkening sky enhances the mood."
